Steve Nafe
Steve Nafe is a founder and President of Southern Trace Underwriters. Having worked in the insurance industry for over 35 years, his varied background includes underwriting, claims, agency development, company relationships, and management. The majority of Steve’s career was spent with a major carrier where he held various positions including Branch Vice-President in charge of insurance operations in the states of Illinois, Tennessee, and Texas. Prior to forming Southern Trace, Steve was the President of a “start up” Managing General Agency in Tennessee concentrating on commercial insurance. Over the years he has provided insurance and business consulting services for several different insurance operations. Steve earned his BA degree from Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. He has completed graduate work at the University of Texas –Dallas, and holds the CPCU, CIC, CLU, and ChFC designations.
